On July 28 around 5pm Greenwich Police received a report from a woman who had been shopping at Whole Foods at 90 East Putnam Ave.
According to Greenwich Police Lt John Slusarz, the person came and reported someone took her wallet while she was shopping.
Subsequent to that, the person’s credit card was used at a local business.
“The big takeaway is when you’re shopping and have your bag with your valuables, keep them on you,” Lt. Slusarz said. “A lot of people will use that opportunity when you turnaround and are reaching for items on the shelf to reach in and grab your valuables.”
