GPD: Matthew Margolies 1984 Murder Case Remains Open and Active

The murder of Matthew Margolies in September 1984 remains an open and active case.

Margolies, a 13-year-old who lived in the Pemberwick area of Greenwich, went fishing on August 31, 1984 and never returned home.

His body was found on a hillside on Sept 5, 1984, five days after he was reported missing.

Greenwich Police has never given up on this case and are hopeful that advances in forensic science, including DNA, will help lead to a closure.
