Evading and Resisting Charges for Driver Who Hit Parked Car in Byram

On Saturday June 3 around 1:00am Greenwich police responded to the area of Sherman Ave in Byram on a report of a vehicle hitting a parked vehicle.

When police arrived they observed that the accused, Luis Sebastian Mora-Vizhco, 34, of Greenwich, who identified himself as the owner of the moving vehicle smelled of alcohol and admitted to drinking. However, he denied that he had been driving the car.

Police say Mr. Mora-Vizhco claimed his “friend” have been driving his car and interfered with the investigation. As the owner of the vehicle he would not identify the alleged driver, thus evading responsibility.

Mr. Mora-Vizhco was charged with Evading Responsibility and Interfering with Officer/Resisting Arrest.

Bond was set at $1,000 and Mr. Mora-Vizhco was able to post the required 10% required and was released.

He is due in Stamford Superior Court on June 22, 2023.
