On Sunday around 2:00am Greenwich Police on patrol on East Putnam Ave in Cos Cob in the area of Sinawoy Road observed a vehicle traveling east to swerve into oncoming traffic, and travel directly towards the police officer’s vehicle.
Police say the driver, John Fischetti, 21, of 7 Lockwood Drive in Old Greenwich had red glassy eyes and the odor of alcoholic beverages. Fischetti was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
He was charged with DUI and Failure to Drive in Proper Lane.
Fischetti was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 29, 2018. His bond was set at $250, which he was unable to post. He was subsequently place in the police cell block.
