On Feb 29 around 3:30am Greenwich Police on patrol in the area of Valleywood Rd between Jackson Street and Osee Place in Cos Cob spotted a car headed north on Valleywood Rd partly on the wrong side of the roadway and nearly hit a legally parked car.
Police stopped the car and say the driver, Jeffrey Abella, 46, of Stamford had red eyes and smelled of alcohol. Abella was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard and was charged with Failure to Drive in Proper Lane and DUI.
He was released after posting his $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 9, 2020.
