Greenwich Police said that on Feb 29 around 3:15am officers spotted a Cadillac with fresh accident damage parked in the private parking lot of a business on East Putnam Ave in Riverside, and the driver, Diana Santos, 30, of Shelton, CT, was asleep behind the wheel while the keys were still in the ignition.
While speaking with Santos, police say she exhibited signs consistent with the consumption of alcoholic beverages, and was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard. Further investigation revealed that the Cadillac’s license plate had been reported stolen from another jurisdiction.
Santos was charged with Larceny 6, DUI and Misuse of Plate.
She was released after posting bond set at $250 and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 16, 2020.
