Greenwich Police Captain Mark Zuccerella reached out to local media around 10:30am on Thursday to say police had been in contact with Greenwich High School.
“We were called by the School Resource Officers after a disturbing message was discovered on the wall of a girls bathroom at Greenwich High School this morning at 9:30am,” he said.
“With an abundance of caution, we have detailed two Patrol Officers to assist the two School Resource Officers with assessing the situation,” Zuccerella added.
Zuccerella said that as of 10:30 police determined there was no imminent threat.
Police added that there was an unrelated medical call at the same time Thursday morning. That call was not related to the incident involving message on girls bathroom wall.
“There is misleading information on social media platforms,” Police said in a release. “No arrests have been made at the school relating to this current situation.”
Police will update when more information is received.
