Most recently, this Thursday around noon, a State Trooper assigned to Troop H- Hartford conducting enforcement for the Aggressive Driving / Fatal Accident Mitigation Initiative on I-91 northbound in the area of exit 29 in Hartford observed a black Acura TLX sedan headed north at a rate of speed.
The Trooper subsequently clocked the speed of the Acura by speedometer at 125 mph and above.
The Trooper activated emergency lights and siren to initiate a traffic stop, but the Acura driver did not comply and continued to accelerate and make several unsafe lane changes, using the shoulder and gore areas to pass other traffic.
Prior to terminating their efforts to stop this vehicle, the trooper saw the driver abruptly exit I-91 exit 32b onto Market Street in Hartford and run both a red light and stop sign before losing sight of the vehicle.
