On April 16 at 12:33pm, Greenwich Police investigated the report of robbery of a cellular phone in the area of Post Rd and Robertson Lane in Cos Cob.
The victim reported that the man who robbed him, struck him and took his cell phone before running away. The investigation determined Danny E. Mogollon, 24 of 135 Henry Street in Byram, was the suspect.
According to Greenwich Police Lt. Kraig Gray, the victim was a 23 year old male. Lt Gray described the two as acquaintances.
After obtaining an arrest warrant for Mogollon, he was arrested on Thursday, April 21 , 2016 at the Stamford Superior Court when he arrived for a court date on an unrelated case. Mogollon was charged with Larceny 5, Robbery 3 and Assault 3.
He was unable to post the $50,000 court set bond and remained in custody. He has a court date scheduled on May 6, in Stamford Superior Court.
