Attempted Forced Entry on 400 Block of Stanwich Rd Thwarted by Homeowner

On Saturday, Nov. 28 a Greenwich Police responded to a homeowner in the 400 block of Stanwich Road on the report of an attempted break in. The incident took place at approximately 2:00pm while the homeowner was upstairs on the second floor and heard a loud bang downstairs.

According to Greenwich Police the homeowner thought the noise was made by a family member and called out to them. When the homeowner came downstairs, they discovered that an someone had attempted to use force to enter the front door.

The intruder did not get inside the home. According to Police, the homeowner saw a large pickup truck, possibly with a trailer in tow, driving away.
