After Greenwich Police Traveling Behind Car See Swerving and Smell Burnt Pot, Duo Face Multiple Charges

Gerardo Orozco Garcia, 21, of 57 Armett St in Port Chester and Marisol Gonzalez, 22, of 51 Alto Ave Port Chester were arrested on Friday Nov. 13 at about 8:20 after Greenwich Police traveling behind their car observed veer over the double yellow line and back towards the white shoulder line several times. According to Greenwich Police, the officer  also could smell the distinct odor of burnt marijuana while driving behind the pair on Riversville Road near John Street.

A stop of the vehicle identified the driver at  Marisol Gonzales and Gerardo Garcia as the passenger.

When asked if they had any marijuana in the vehicle Garcia produced a blunt. Further search of the car yielded more marijuana, some of which was packaged for sale, as well as drug paraphernalia. There were also two open bottles of Modelo beer on the passenger floor.

Garcia was placed under arrest for the violation of C.G.S. 21a-267(a) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession with Intent to Sell Marijuana and Possession of less than 40z Marijuana  Garcia was released on a Promise to Appear in Stamford Superior Court on Nov. 20.

Gonzalez was placed under arrest for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession Of less than 40z Marijuana, DUI and Failure to Maintain Lane. She posted a $260 bond and and has a court date of Nov. 20 in Stamford Superior Court.
