No Injuries Reported after Mini Cooper Narrowly Avoids Plunge into Binney Pond

On Thursday afternoon just before 1:00pm residents enjoying Binney Park were startled when white Mini Cooper almost went into the pond.

The Police Dept and the Fire Dept responded to the incident.

“It seems that the driver parked, got out and the car rolled into the water,” Greenwich Police Captain John Slusarz explained.

No one was reported to be hurt and, in any event, the pond is not too deep even after being dredged in 2017.
