Stamford Police Say Home of Barricaded Man Contained Decomposed Body

The incident started after a a State Marshal contacted 911 while attempting to execute an eviction order. Police on Wednesday released the name of the barricaded man who appeared to die from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The city’s Bomb Squad was deployed to render the residence safe before detectives could begin processing the scene. While clearing the home, a second body was discovered on the second floor. National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Announces Nearly $12 Million in Grants from LI Sound Futures Fund

The grants will support projects that prevent 618,934 gallons of stormwater and 2,996 pounds of nitrogen pollution from entering the Long Island Sound, remove 161,250 pounds of marine debris , restore 70 acres of coastal habitat, launch new oyster restoration efforts and conserve and enhance habitats for shorebirds, songbirds, diamondback terrapins, native pollinators and other wildlife.
