President’s Day Aftermath: Greenwich Schools, Tuesday 2-Hour Delay

UPDATE: Tuesday Feb 16 7:00am: Greenwich Schools are operating on a 2-hour delay.


 

Original alert: Monday, Feb 15: The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from Monday 1:00pm until 12:00am Feb 16, and warn of icy road conditions Monday night.

Hazard types include snow and freezing rain with accumulations of snow up to 1 inch along with a glaze of ice.

Snow will mix with rain and later in the evening turn to just rain. Impacts include “a slow thaw of frozen ground will likely result in icing of untreated road surfaces and walkways this evening into late Monday night, making travel dangerous.
