Hot Phiit Studio to Open in Cos Cob in January; Intro Packages Available

HOT PHIIT’s new studio in Cos Cob is set to open in January. The studio is in the space formerly home to Katie’s dry cleaners. The Greenwich Planning & Zoning commission approved the use change last June.

With current locations in Darien and Bronxville, the studio takes high-intensity fitness training to the next level by adding the healing and therapeutic benefits of FAR Infrared Technology.

The full-body, beat-based workouts are highly effective at detoxifying, burning calories, strengthening muscles and increasing flexibility.

Monique Crous, the owner of the Darien studio, and Jessie Lambiase, the Bronxville studio owner, are joining forces to launch the new space in Greenwich. The location is in Cos Cob next to CVS.

“We are thrilled to expand our unique HOT PHIIT workout in this area,” said Crous, a fitness entrepreneur. “I feel so passionate about our classes and concept and know there are so many in the community that will love this new way of working out. Combining our classes with FAR Infrared heat is a very unique concept, and we welcome everyone to experience the healing benefits and the results.”

Crous opened her first fitness studio in lower Manhattan in 2013 where she created the workout known as HOT HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training).

A NASM certified personal trainer with a specialization in corrective exercise and a certified Bikram Yoga instructor, Crous got hooked on hot workouts and wanted to get the same results in different formats. She then sought to bring the revolutionary workouts to Fairfield and Westchester Counties.

“When FAR Infrared heat is added to specially designed, high-intensity workouts, the results are transformative,” Crous added. “With the added heat, your body is pushed to work even harder, leading to an increased heart rate and enhanced calorie burn, all in the same duration as a regular class.”

Infrared heat is rapidly gaining popularity for its multitude of benefits, including detoxification, enhanced cardiovascular health, increased flexibility, reduced pain and stiffness, and boosted recovery. FAR Infrared heats one’s body directly without warming the air, which prevents/eliminates dust and temperature fluctuations.

HOT PHIIT offers several workout classes, including HOT HIIT®, Hot HIIT® Core Flow, Hot HIIT® Barre and Hot HIIT® Strength and Tone. The formats incorporate movements that are low-impact, which protects joints and muscles.

“The happy afterglow you feel after a HOT PHIIT class is absolutely addictive,” said Crous.

Both Connecticut studios are offering a 14-day introductory packages at reduced rates through January. Session packages will include bonus classes if purchased before the Cos Cob studio opens.
