Greenwich Point One Mile Swim Set for Saturday, July 29

The 34th Annual Greenwich Point One Mile Swim will be held on Saturday, July 29 at Tod’s Point.

The event is sponsored by The Greenwich Swim Committee and the YMCA of Greenwich. All proceeds from the One Mile Swim event will go to the YMCA of Greenwich’s Swim School Scholarship Fund, helping to provide swim school instruction and critical water safety skills to local children.

Race start is 7:30 am and check in opens at 6:30 am. Water temperature should be around 72°F.

Heats will be by age group with colored caps provided. Wetsuits are allowed but competitors wearing wet suits will be ineligible for awards. There will be light refreshments and commemorative T-shirts for all participants.

FEES: $50.00 for entries by July 15, $60 for entries thereafter, $20 for participants 13-17 years of age. NO REFUNDS. In the unlikely event of cancellation, partial credit will be given for future Greenwich Swim Committee events. Refreshments & commemorative T-shirts for all participants. T-Shirts are only guaranteed for pre-registered swimmers.

AWARDS: In each age group, awards to the top three overall and at least the top three in each age group. Age groups will be 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+ and an Achilles division. Awards and refreshments will follow the event.
