A lifetime Greenwich resident, David John Williams passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2024, at the age of 67. He will be sorely missed.
Born to the late Catherine and Ewart Williams on August 21, 1956, he enjoyed his youth alongside his brothers Lloyd Spencer Joseph and Ewart Joseph (Joe).
He is survived by his brothers, wife, children, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
David lived a full life, overflowing with love, adventure and cherished memories.
David married the love of his life, Elizabeth in Greenwich.
He was a loving and devoted father to his two children Victoria (Vicki) Zigmont (married to Jason), and Alexander (Alex). He was a beloved grandfather to Arthur and Ethan Williams.
David graduated from Syracuse University and was a talented architect in the states of Connecticut and New York, crafting many buildings where people currently work and live. He was an avid reader and a devoted patron of the Greenwich Library, often enjoying a cup of tea and reading a book.
Above all else, David loved spending time with his family, especially traveling. He enjoyed history and sharing insights from his family genealogy research going more than 14 generations.
A private celebration of David’s life will take place along with a funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Byram, CT.
There will be no calling hours. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in David’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
