Christopher “CJ” Ceci, 30

Christopher Joseph Ceci “CJ” age 30 sadly passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021. CJ was born on January 29, 1990 in Greenwich.

CJ was known for having a dynamic, captivating personality and always left an unforgettable and lasting impression on everyone he met.

From small things like the way CJ greeted everyone he saw with a warm and genuine smile, to the powerful and special way he made those around him feel that they had his true interest and care. Graduating from Greenwich High School in the class of 2008, CJ was the Captain of the wrestling team earning many honors in that role.

CJ was also a dedicated and avid football player who played an essential part in two winning seasons as a linebacker. CJ truly loved working with kids as a Greenwich wrestling coach where he was able to teach and inspire many kids including his youngest brother Vincent with his leadership, kindness and athleticism.

CJ was a positive influence and a motivator for each wrestler he mentored. As a young man, CJ was committed to pursuing his dreams of participating in high level collegiate athletics. As a step in achieving his goals, he attended Northfield Mount Hermon School and then went on to Gettysburg College to pursue wrestling, his ultimate passion.

CJ remained a dedicated athlete, consistently striving to improve his physical strength and fitness with daily workouts in the gym where he both attended to his fitness regime and trained others to reach their goals.

CJ is survived by his father Vittorio Ceci; Step-mother, Mitzi Ceci and his four brothers, Vittorio Ceci Jr, Nicholas Ceci, Vincent Ceci and Jason Rinaldi.

He is survived by his mother Darlene Leonard; step-father Richard Rinaldi, grandparents Stanley and Evelyn Leonard. CJ is also survived by his loving uncles, aunts, nephew and several cousins.

CJ is predeceased by his paternal grandmother and grandfather, Francesca and Umile Ceci.

Forever beloved, always in our hearts and never forgotten.

Visitation is Monday, January 25, 2021 4:00 – 8:00pm at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home, 134 Hamilton Avenue in Greenwich.

Final resting place will be St. Mary’s /Greenwich, 399 North Street in Greenwich.
