The town of Greenwich has posted a Norway Maple tree at 5 Brookridge Drive for removal.
The tree is on town property.

This property is the site of clear cutting in recent weeks, that caused a stir.
After the clear cutting, a pre-application from contract purchaser, 5 Brookridge LLC, which is registered to Joseph Pecora, was submitted to the Planning & Zoning Commission for an 8-30g affordable housing development at 5 Brookridge with five stories and 86 units.
The pre application is not yet scheduled on a P&Z agenda.
Currently the property features a Tudor style single family house dating back to 1900.
The Norway Maple the that was posted has a 23-inch diameter.
The notice was posted on Dec 10 and the tree will be removed unless there is a request for a public hearing within ten days.
In the case a complaint triggers a tree hearing, tree warden, Dr. Greg Kramer will listen to interested parties and issue a decision within three business days.
