Senator Elect Alex Bergstein to Hold “Community Conversation” for Greenwich Residents

State Senator Elect Alex Bergstein will host a community conversation for Greenwich residents on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Greenwich Town Hall in the Mazza Room starting at 7:00 pm.

This Community Conversation is the first in what will be a quarterly series of events held in each of the three towns comprising the 36th Senate District. The purpose of these conversations is to encourage the involvement of residents in a constructive dialogue and have an open exchange of ideas and information about all the issues facing the state. The event is open to the public.

“Our government works better and on our behalf when we as citizens are engaged, informed and the process is transparent and accountable,” said Bergstein. “I will maintain an open dialogue with the Greenwich community and its leaders so that I can more effectively represent the 36th District in Hartford.”

Bergstein is the newly elected State Senator for the 36th District, which covers all of Greenwich and parts of Stamford and New Canaan. She is a Democrat and made voter engagement, involvement and the accountability of elected officials the hallmarks of her campaign.

Throughout, she encouraged voters to put aside party labels and instead, research the records of the candidates running for office, ask questions and to rely on verifiable facts and reliable sources of information.

“I’m very much looking forward to meeting with residents,” said Bergstein. “When we set aside our perceived differences and work together I know we can achieve what we all want to see — a successful Connecticut with opportunity and respect for all.”
