New Greenwich Wetlands Director Comes from Wilton

On Monday night, the Greenwich Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency voted unanimously to appoint Patricia Sesto as their new Agency Director, effective June 1. Ms. Sesto was selected after a thorough search process that included several highly qualified candidates.

Ms. Sesto is currently the Director of Environmental Affairs for the Town of Wilton where she has served since 1992. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Eastern Connecticut State University. Ms. Sesto will be replacing the former Director, Michael Chambers, who resigned from the Agency in March.

Wetlands Agency Chairman, Brian Harris stated, “The Town of Greenwich is fortunate to have the finest professional staff of any Wetlands Agency in the state and we are thrilled to welcome Patricia Sesto as our new Director. Patricia’s extensive technical experience, her standing in the professional community, and the management skills she has developed during her tenure with the Town of Wilton will greatly benefit the Agency and further strengthen our ability to serve the community. We look forward to working with Patricia on the many challenges facing our town’s valuable natural resources in the years to come.”
