Letter: Floren is Supportive, Responsive and Informative on Issues Affecting Her District

The following letter to the editor was submitted by Gail Okun on Sept. 6, 2016

I am writing in support of Representative Livvy Floren who has served the 149th district in the Connecticut House of Representatives for sixteen years. I have worked with Livvy for those sixteen years as she serves the residents of her district. Through those years Livvy has shown her leadership skills and her ability to work with legislators on both sides of the aisle making her an especially effective voice in Hartford.

Livvy has proven to be supportive, responsive, and informative on issues affecting her district. As a ranking member of the Bonding Sub Committee she focused on bonding to help her constituents in Stamford and Greenwich. Her efforts in Stamford have helped the Stamford Watershed, led to fifteen acres of open space near Treetops in Stamford, the Wright Tech renovation, the UConn resident hall in Stamford, the new school on Strawberry Hill, and the Guinea Road construction.

Livvy has served her community in so many ways and I am proud to support her in her quest for another term as State Representative for the 149th district. She has done an amazing job.

Sincerely,
Gail Okun
19th District Representative
Stamford Board of Representatives
