Greenwich Housing Authority Announces Name Change to “Greenwich Communities”

The Housing Authority of the Town of Greenwich (HATG) announced this week they changed their name to “Greenwich Communities” effective September 1.

Along with the name change, Greenwich Communities is rolling out a new logo and website www.greenwichcommunity.org.

“We are excited to change our name to Greenwich Communities,” said said Anthony Johnson, Executive Director. “We have evolved and now provide housing solutions to help address Greenwich’s diverse housing challenges and improve the quality of life for the residents we serve.”

Mr. Johnson said the new name, “Greenwich Communities,” is intended to more accurately reflect the agency today and its strategy moving forward.

“Over the past several years, we have made considerable progress in diversifying, and enhancing our properties, making key investments and improvements for our residents,” he added.

Greenwich Communities will hold a ceremony announcing the name change on Tuesday, September 8, at 11:00 am at Armstrong Court with the Town of Greenwich Board of Selectmen, Greenwich Communities Commissioners, and Executive Staff.

First Selectman Fred Camillo will proclaim Tuesday, September 8, 2020, as Greenwich Communities Day.
