White Contractors have been contracted by the owners of 360 and 364 Greenwich Ave at the at corner of Grigg St. to replace a failing water and sewer service line that feeds both buildings.
Because Grigg Street is narrow, the excavation means that the work take place in the middle of the road, requiring that it be closed, though it will not be closed to pedestrian traffic.
Both Aquarion Water Company and Town of Greenwich sewer department are requiring that two individual lines be service each building to replace a common water and sewer.
At their Oct. 24th meeting, the Greenwich Board of Selectmen approved the request for road closure at Grigg Street from Nov. 3-5 from 8:00am until 4:00pm.
