Author & Comedian Annabelle Gurwitch Brings Her Coming-of-Middle-Age Story to Greenwich

On Wednesday, November 19, JCC Greenwich will present comedian and New York Times bestselling author Annabelle Gurwitch, who will recount her adventures in aging with a vengeance chronicled in her latest collection of essays, I See You Made an Effort: Compliments, Indignities and Survival Stories From the Edge of 50. The presentation will include a Q&A with the author and book signing (books will be available for purchase).

Annabelle is currently adapting I See You Made an Effort for the F/X television network. Annabelle gained a loyal comedic following during her numerous years co-hosting the cult favorite, Dinner & a Movie on TBS and in her years as a regular commentator on NPR. As an actress, she’s guest starred in over fifty TV series, including:  Dexter, Boston Legal, Medium and Seinfeld. Annabelle’s many television appearances include: Real Time with Bill Maher, CBS This Morning, Queen Latifah Show, The Today Show, Joy Behar Show, Fox and Friends, Show Biz Tonight, Entertainment tonight, CNN, and The Oprah Winfrey Show, and most recently, The Dr. Oz Show launched Annabelle’s 4 AM CLUB.

The event is set for Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, 10:00am – 11:30am at The Drawing Room, 5 Suburban Ave in Cos Cob. Tickets are $18. Register through the JCC website or call (203) 552-1818.
