Head to Augustine’s Farm as you begin to prepare your Thanksgiving menus. They have some unique items that will wow your family, including Peanut Butternut Squash, which we brought home and cooked. It was a bit sweeter than other varieties of squash and didn’t have a lot of seeds. Plus, it was fun to buy squash shaped like a peanut!
All around the farm stand there are recipe ideas.
They also have fresh pressed cider, fresh farm eggs from Kathy’s Cluckers and a large selection of New York State apples, honey from their own hives and all the holiday fixins from kale and brussels sprouts to spinach, cauliflower, candy apples, broccoli, sweet potatoes, preserves, Indian corn and gourds.
Oh, and they have a variety of baked goods.
Don’t forget the last working farm in Greenwich. 1332 King Street. Kathy and John will operate the farm stand through December 20th.
