Rise Yoga NY is a new yoga studio created by two women from Rye, New York. Owners, Erin Pymm and Jessica Paul launched their venture on May 9 hoping to give back to the community and share their knowledge and passion with others.
Erin and Jessica are certified Yoga teachers. They both completed a 200 hour certification program through Y7 Studio in Manhattan. Y7 specializes in hot candlelight vinyasa style yoga to hip hop music.
Rise Yoga NY’s motto is “We Rise by Lifting Others.”
The owners believe that spending calm, soul-aware time in class, coupled with relevant music, sets their experience apart from others.
Once a person has replenished, refreshed, and re-centered, it is possible go out into the world bringing kindness and calmness.
Rise Yoga NY welcomes people of all ages, abilities, and genders. The unique location, right on the water overlooking Milton Harbor in Rye, NY, is an additional bonus for attendees. It definitely adds to the experience.
Rise Yoga NY strives to keep the experience unique. Rise Yoga teaches vinyasa style yoga, but in a creative way. Erin and Jessica have previously hosted a “Flose”yoga class which incorporates vinyasa flow and with a toast of Rosé at the completion of the class.
Rise Yoga NY also does holiday themed yoga classes. On Mother’s Day, they finished the session with Mimosas. For Father’s Day, they invited Dads to come and ended with a shot of a green, healthy smoothie at the end of class.
When coming to a Rise Yoga class, you need to bring a mat and water bottle. When you’re there, you’ll hear upbeat, soul inspiring music. Rise provides an intense workout for both the body and the soul. The session opens with 10 minutes of meditation followed by a 50 minute flow.
Private sessions and special events are available upon request. Jessica and Erin are in the process of developing a fall schedule.
