Wildacre Rotisserie Announces Expanded Operating Hours

Wildacre Rotisserie, Cos Cob’s new fast casual rotisserie restaurant, has announced an expansion of its operating hours. The restaurant is now open daily from 11:00am-8:00pm.

In addition, the entire menu is now gluten-free.

Wildacre opened its doors in Cos Cob on June 23 and has seen an incredible response from the community thus far.

Led by former Starbucks and sweetgreen culinary leader and Fairfield County resident Ben Pote, the restaurant brings a fresh take on traditional rotisserie to Cos Cob.

The concept of the eatery, both in cuisine and design, is inspired by California with a thoughtfully curated menu that offers something for everyone.

Pote has built relationships with local nonprofits, and recently made a donation of the first day’s sales to Neighbor to Neighbor, which operates a local food pantry. Last week Pote presented a check for those proceeds, which came to a total of $3,971, to Neighbor to Neighbor’s Executive Director Margaret Tjimos Goldberg.

Rotisserie chicken and slow-roasted cauliflower are at the heart of the menu, complemented by entree-style salads, plant-forward sides, and sauces that are made in-house daily, with thoughtful pops of flavor throughout.

Wildacre’s salads are hearty enough for lunch and dinner, or to eat alongside a whole roasted chicken or cauliflower.

Guests can order a la carte or select a bundled meal, which offers the choice of either a rotisserie chicken or slow-roasted cauliflower main plus two sides and two sauces.

Side dishes range from french fries to roasted brussels sprouts.

The California influence shows up throughout the menu, which features ingredients like fennel pollen, meyer lemon, and avocado, and flavors inspired by Mediterranean, Central American, and Asian cuisines. Wildacre thoughtfully sources its ingredients. The rotisserie chickens are from Cooks Venture, who raises a slow-growth, heirloom chicken called the Pioneer, taking into account the health of the animal and the health of the environment. Core to their mission is advancing regenerative agriculture, and their chickens are pasture-raised, heirloom birds fed a diet of non-GMO feed. Other menu items will be local and organic when possible.

Guests have the option to order and dine in, or order for pickup or delivery. The restaurant is located at 147 East Putnam Avenue, and is open daily from 11:00am-8:00pm.
