Seafood From The Sound, Three-Course Seafood Dinner to Feature Connecticut Chefs

Foodshed Forum Fairfield County, SoundWaters and Eating with the Ecosystem, announce Seafood From The Sound, a three-course seafood dinner event featuring Connecticut chefs, on Saturday, October 4th from 5:30 – 8:30 at the Cohen SoundWaters Harbor Center in Stamford.

Seafood From The Sound will benefit SoundWaters, Eating with the Ecosystem and Foodshed Forum Fairfield County, regional neighbors within the New England food justice movement working towards resiliency within the food system. The evening will educate, celebrate and connect around Long Island Sound as a sustainable food source with a lasting history of providing sustenance along our coastline.

The Seafood From The Sound dinner will be prepared by Connecticut chefs whose passion is about ‘eating with the ecosystem.’ This special culinary experience will feature a seasonal three-course plated meal highlighting Long Island Sound’s ‘overlooked’ seafood while celebrating its incredible diversity – both beloved staples and forgotten treasures.

Featured chefs include Marta Garcia Barrios: Chef/Owner of Empanadictas, Geoff Lazlo: Chef/Owner Geoff Lazlo Food and The Country Table, Brian Lewis: Chef/Owner of Full House Hospitality Group – OKO and The Cottage (Westport + Greenwich), Raquel Rivera: Chef/Owner of A Pinch of Salt and Renee Touponce: Chef/Owner of Oyster Club and The Port of Call.
