Amalfi Coast-Inspired “Pasta Bowls” Welcomes Guests with Warm Aromas of Homemade Dishes

Excitement filled the air at Constantino’s Pasta Bowls’ grand opening event on Saturday.

Guests were greeted by inviting Amalfi-coast-inspired decor and the warm aroma of freshly prepared pasta.

The opening event was a celebration of food, community, and the passion that owners Robyn and Michael Bordes have poured into creating a unique dining experience.

Inspired by their honeymoon in Greece, Robyn and Michael sought to create a family-style restaurant that serves delicious, homemade Italian food.

Remarking on the simplicity and charm of restaurants in along the Mediterranean, they wanted to bring the same laid-back, coastal style to Pasta Bowls.

At the opening, guests were served samples of appetizers including meatballs and Mozzarella Carozza (Italian Grilled Cheese), and entrees like pesto and alfredo pasta.

Guests could also order items off the menu, with many opting to try pasta served in homemade bread bowls.

A personal favorite for Robyn and Michael is the Filet Mignon. They also recommended trying the Bang Bang Chicken Skewers and the Spicy Rigatoni.

Central to Pasta Bowls is its fast service and use of select, high-quality ingredients. Admiring how chains like Chopt and Cava sell quick and tasty bowls made with fresh ingredients, Robyn and Michael sought to apply the concept to pasta.

“It’s all freshly made pasta with homemade sauces that are made to order,” Robyn exclaimed. “There’s nothing that’s sitting in the kitchen and nothing is pre-made.”

Throughout the afternoon, guests chatted and savored food, surrounded by portraits of celebrities and members of the Bordes family enjoying pasta.

“We want to get more pictures of friends and members of the community that come in, eating pasta, to hang on the walls,” Robyn explained.

The photos decorate the restaurant’s walls, helping to curate a welcoming, homey atmosphere.

Whether you prefer classic Italian dishes or innovative creations, Pasta Bowls has something for everyone. The restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity is apparent in every dish, making it a must-visit destination for Greenwich residents.
