Moriarty: A hard-working BOE member, Stowe has consistently sought an optimal path forward when faced with difficult challenges.

Submitted by Leslie Moriarty, Greenwich. Submitting as an individual, not in my role as a current member of the BET, former Chair of the BOE, or former member of the RTM.

As a former member of the Board of Education, I can attest that the BOE is one of the most challenging responsibilities because of its direct impact on our most vulnerable residents – our children.

Kathleen Stowe, as a hard-working BOE member, has consistently sought an optimal path forward when faced with difficult challenges; a path that focuses on the children, supports the staff, places the least burden on parents, and falls within budget parameters.

This approach to governing is the one we need in Hartford. We need a representative who is looking to move forward and address Connecticut’s issues.

We need someone who can work with other people, who has an open mind to new information, who is fiscally prudent, and who is willing to make the tough decisions.

We need someone who will focus on Connecticut’s economy, education and the environment; key areas that will help our state improve its competitiveness and thrive moving forward. Kathleen Stowe is that person. She will bring that approach to Hartford and is the representative for the 149th that Greenwich needs. Vote for Kathleen Stowe for on November 3rd.
