LETTER: Meskers helped me navigate CT Labor Dept Portal

I feel compelled to write to you regarding a recent and very helpful
experience I had with Stephen Meskers, my local Representative.

Having been made redundant in early March due to COVID-19 I found
myself in the unenviable position of having to apply for Unemployment
Insurance through the CT Labor Portal. My situation wasn’t a simple scenario due various work changes in the last year and I found myself unable to navigate the system. It was extremely stressful with no easy fix. A friend of mine suggested I contact Steve Meskers to see if he help, which I did with small expectations.

I was absolutely astounded that within one hour of my sending my email to Mr Meskers, I was actually speaking to him directly! He was empathetic, understanding and very thorough in his questions in order to help me. Within one week of our phone exchange, I was receiving much needed Insurance payments which have made a massive difference to my family
situation. I cannot thank Steve enough for his prompt intervention and diligence with solving my problem. He is a credit to the community.
