The following letter was submitted from Greenwich Selectman Drew Marzullo on Sept. 3, 2015
When you vote November 3rd, it will be a competitive election for the Board of Education (BOE). I first met BOE candidate, Jennifer Dayton as an RTM delegate and nominated her in 2011 to run for the BOE. After working with her in town government for the last four years, I believe even more strongly that her re-election is key to running an excellent school system.
A key trait is her ability to accomplish large-scale change initiatives, while working with diverse constituencies such as the RTM, BET, PTAC, teachers, administrators and parents.
Jennifer’s strengths are focusing on important challenges ahead and responsiveness, providing reliable communication. She believes strongly in accountability to the public on student achievement and verifies progress by assuring checkpoints and metrics are integral to Board decision-making.
Jennifer is a passionate advocate for public education on both local and state levels on behalf of the families of Greenwich.
I endorse Jennifer Dayton for re-election to the Board of Education.
