Elections are about choices. This year in Connecticut and in Greenwich we have ultra-MAGA candidates like Senate candidate Leora Levy and State Rep Candidate Kimberly Fiorello who daily give full-throated support to Donald Trump. Yes, the same Trump who fomented an armed insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. That means they both, as well as all the other far-right candidates, are perfectly OK with being enablers to armed insurrection.
But now we have another choice for voters. According to Dr. Oz last week, “abortion should be between a woman, her doctors, and local political leaders.” So that means that here in Greenwich members of the Board of Selectmen, the BET, and the RTM are going to be embedded in making reproductive decisions for Greenwich women. Maybe the Wetlands Commission can set up a hotline and Parks & Recreation can help with rehab!
This is just nuts.
Yet here we have MAGA candidates on the Greenwich and Connecticut ballot who enable armed insurrection to take down our democracy and who endorse enabling “local political leaders” to take over the right of a woman to make a personal choice about her body.
Extreme you say. Not really you say. Read what they have said and continue to say. Remember their names when you vote: Stefanowski, Levy, Fazio, Sherr, Fiorello. If you vote for them you actually enable what Jefferson Davis failed to do and you enable the subjugation of every woman in Greenwich.
Elections are about choices. Right now you get to choose. If they succeed future choice is likely to be taken away.
