Khanna: Thank You Greenwich and Stamford

Submitted by State Rep Elect Rachel Khanna (D-149)

When I decided to run for State Representative back in March I had no idea what to expect. But I understood what was at stake, and how critically important it was to the voters in the 149th district that they have a choice in deciding who would represent them in Hartford.

I could not be prouder of the race we ran, the dedicated volunteers who wrote letters, made calls, knocked doors and held events in their homes and the thousands of Greenwich and Stamford voters who came out to vote. This was a close race, and I could not have won without all of you. I look forward to serving you in Hartford as your State Representative in the 149th.

My pledge to all of my constituents is to represent you faithfully, pragmatically, and always with your best interests in mind. Over the coming weeks I will have more to share about committee assignments and how to reach me in Hartford and subscribe to my legislative email. Over the course of my first term, I will stay in close touch with you through frequent communications and I look forward to
hearing from you.

As John F. Kennedy once said, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”

I am energized to head to Hartford to do your work. I am ready to join Governor Lamont and my colleagues in building upon the progress that has been made to restore Connecticut’s fiscal health, grow jobs, create more opportunity, and to protect and expand our rights. I will fight to bring solutions to the challenges we are facing, such as high electricity costs this winter, and I remain committed to making Connecticut an even better place to live, work, raise a family, and retire for everyone.

Thank you Greenwich and Stamford!
