I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who participated in the Lourdes Retreat on Saturday, Sept 7 at St. Mary’s Church in Stamford.
Bishop Frank Caggiano led more than 1,000 people in procession of the statute of Our Lady throughout the cathedral. The presence of Our Lady could be felt by all, bringing many to tears and instilling hope for healing.
I was in awe bye the turnout and the feeling of hope and healing at the the event.
Bishop Caggianon gave a very moving homily on his experience at Lourdes where he prayed for his mother who was ill.
The amazing volunteers at St. Mary’s – so hard working and devout in prayer – I am grateful for all of you.
I am grateful to the Father Falla, my friend and pastor who is truly a gentleman and a joy to work with.
Thank you also to all my friends who came from near and far. I’m so moved that you attended.
Thank you also to Erin Neil of the Safe Hope and Healing Committee, and those who attended including Michael Shea for participating.
Thank you to the media coverage from Fairfield Catholic News, Greenwich Free Press, and Sharon McKnight for photography.
My only hope is that we touched people in need of healing, and gave hope, one person at a time. It is my mission to pay back the healing I received from Mother Mary and Jesus, even though the pain and scars don’t go away.
I was also moved by the number of people who came to me at the end of the event to share their stories and express gratitude for the inspirational day.
The large turnout testified that the message of hope is reaching and inspiring people.
Hopefully I will see all of you next time and share in prayer and help more who are in need of healing.
Remember to reach out to help those who are in need of healing.
Amen.
