Howl & Prowl 2019 Rescheduled to Nov 3

Pet Pantry Warehouse’s 12th annual Howl & Prowl in support of Adopt-a-Dog on Sunday, is set for October 27, at 290 Greenwich Ave, by Greenwich Commons.

UPDATE: the 12th annual Howl & Prowl has been rescheduled to Sunday, November 3 due to the heavy rain predicted in the weather forecast for Oct 27.

The family-owned business, specializing in quality pet food and products, invites all to enjoy a FREE afternoon in support of the rescue organization which saves, socializes and secures loving homes for unwanted or abandoned dogs since 1981. The 2019 Howl & Prowl leading sponsor is Earth Animal (earthanimal.com).

“We are so appreciative of Pet Pantry’s generosity and support to help us continue our mission,” said Kristen Alouisa, Executive Director at Adopt-A-Dog. “All proceeds from this event benefit the dogs at Adopt-A-Dog and we are truly grateful.”

This event is a costume party in the park that has become a popular tradition dog lovers look forward to each year.

Attendees have the option to register to enter a fundraising costume contest for both pets and people at $20, this contest includes prizes totaling $600 in Pet Pantry Warehouse gift certificates.

Additional pet food brands sponsoring the event include Champion, Open Farm, Merrick Pet Care, Bravo, Earthborn, Ziwipeak, Health Extensions, Primal, Triumph, Bixbi, Raised Right, Zignature, Natural Balance, Stella & Chewys, and Weruva.

Pet Pantry VP Joshua Roth said Howl & Prowl is one of his favorite events.

“Now in our 12th year, we’re challenged again to grow this event and build upon its annual tradition,” he added. “We couldn’t be more passionate about the cause we’re working to support and feel inspired by all that join through sponsorship and attendance.”

Howl & Prowl is a big part of an initiative that has allowed Pet Pantry to raise well over $100,000 for Adopt-A-Dog and other rescue groups over the the years.

Pet Pantry created Howl & Prowl in 2008 and the event has become a town staple that includes costume contests, activities for kids, pet food samples and giveaways.

This year Pet Pantry will host a “Bone Bar” pop-up with assorted treats for the dogs. Attendees will have access to caricature drawings by artist Bill Hernandez (partycartoons.com), face painting by Wells, food trucks and much more. Pet Pantry will bring assorted balloon “dogs” available for “adoption.” And, theme music will entertain attendees by in-demand NYC artist DJ Cochon De Lait (djcochondelait.com).

Earth Animal will showcase No-Hide Chews, Nature’s Protection Flea & Tick line, Nature’s Comfort (CBD) line and giving away free Zen Pens, herbal remedies, Daily Health Nuggets (vitamins for dogs) and more.

“With sustainability in our DNA, Earth Animal believes in building and supporting a strong community and we love giving back to those who’ve helped us along the way,” said Mike Cody, Marketing Director at Earth Animal.   “We are excited to partner with Pet Pantry for this years’ Howl & Prowl once again, its such a fun event for the whole pack.”
