Join Friends of Binney Park and Parks & Trees for a Community Cleanup Day at Binney Park

Friends of Binney Park and Parks & Recreation are organizing a Community Cleanup Day at Binney Park on Saturday, May 13 from 9:00am to 12:00 noon.

The aim of the event is to beautify the park and make it a more enjoyable space for everyone in the community to enjoy.

Volunteers will be engaged in various tasks such as picking up litter, raking leaves, pruning shrubs and removing unwanted vegetation to maintain the natural beauty of the park.

All volunteers are encouraged to bring working gloves and water. Hats and sunscreen are also recommended to protect from the sun. The event is open to everyone, and no prior experience is necessary. Community service hours will be available for students who participate.

“We are excited to host this cleanup day and make a positive impact on Binney Park,” said Peter Uhry, President of Friends of Binney Park. “We are looking forward to working with volunteers and making the park a more beautiful place for everyone.”

Binney Park is more than just a park. It’s a treasured community gathering place complete with walking paths, a playground, sports fields, a pond, and trails. Join us in this wonderful opportunity to engage in environmental conservation efforts, connect with new people, contribute to the community, and enjoy some fresh air and exercise.
