St Roch’s Feast returns to Chickahominy this week. The dates are Wednesday Aug 7 through Saturday, Aug 10.
The feast opens nightly at 6:00pm and runs until 10:00pm. On the final night, Saturday, the feast opens at 5:00pm.
Also, on Saturday, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm, children from Hamilton Avenue School and those associated with any social service program in Greenwich are invited to ride for free!
Expect live DJs and live bands nightly, as well as games and carnival rides galore. The beer & wine garden is on church property, but the block is closed to traffic, so tables and chairs are set up right on St Roch Ave.
On school grounds there will be tents with food and non-alcoholic drinks.
Volunteers will serve fan favorites including pizza fritta and sausage & peppers.
“The feast is not just a cherished tradition in Chickahominy where St. Roch Church is a neighborhood centerpiece,” First Selectman Fred Camillo wrote in his weekly Community Connections from Fred newsletter on Friday.
“It draws in people of all ages from all over Town and is a great celebration of community.”
There is also a raffle. Tickets are $25.00 each and there are 13 prizes: American Express Gift Cards totaling $40,000. The drawing will be at the end of the final night of the feast: 08/10/2024 11:00 pm.

The Sunday morning following the final night of the feast, there is another tradition: a procession led by the St. Roch’s pastor Father Carl McIntosh.
