Greenwich Police recently arrested a man by warrant on charges stemming back to a burglary on Beech Street in Byram in November 2023.
On July 16 Greenwich Police investigators arrested Carlos Buitrago-Pinzon, now 29, of Queens, NY when he was at Stamford Superior Court, having been transported there by Darien Police on an unrelated matter.
The charges, which stemmed from a burglary investigation that began on Nov 12, 2023, were Conspiracy to Commit Burglary 2 (class C Felony), Burglary 2 (class C Felony), Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Mischief 2 and Criminal Mischief 2.
His bond was set at $100,000 and he was arraigned the same day. He was not released.
According to the Judicial Branch website, Mr. Buitrago-Pinzon also has charges pending in Darien for an incident on the same day as in Greenwich, including Burglary 3 (class D Felony), Accessory to Burglary 3 (class D Felony), Criminal Mischief 2, Accessory to Larceny 1 (class B Felony) and Larceny 1 (class B Felony).
Darien Police also assigned Mr. Buitrago-Pinzon $100,000 bond.
