Parsonage Cottage “Tee Party” and Mini Golf Tourney Draws a Crowd

The second Annual “Tee Party” held at Parsonage Cottage Senior Residence last Sunday was a tremendous success and enjoyed by over 200 people.

Hosted by the Parsonage Cottage Junior Advisory Board, the sold-out two-hour event attracted 47 teams of four, supporters and volunteers. The mini-golf tournament was played on a custom course set up on the beautiful grounds of the Cottage and raised funds and awareness of the critical services provided to the elderly at Parsonage.

Lunch was provided by Walter’s Hot Dog Truck and Longford Ice Cream, and attendees were entertained by the music of DJ Rich. Sponsors included Assisted Living Locators, Atria Senior Living of Rye Brook, Greenwich Communities, LCB Senior Living (The Residences of Summer Street, Selleck’s Woods, and Westport), Splash Car Wash, and the John L. and Sue Ann Weinberg Foundation.

The Junior Advisory Board members are Anne O’Connor, Abby Barnett, Maddie Wise, and Jacie Erensen from the Convent of the Sacred Heart; Ryan Crowley and Tito Miguens from Greenwich Country Day School; and Robby Duncan and Will Duncan from Brunswick School. They were supported by Parsonage Cottage Board members Mimi Santry and Park Duncan, who also serve on the Parsonage Cottage Fundraising Board.

First Selectman Fred Camillo and Selectwoman Lauren Rabin were among the supporters who cheered on the golfers.

The Bogey Boys won Lowest Score, and the Best Team Costumes were awarded to the Lemon Drop Kids, Fore Mulligans, Barnyard Girls, and I’m Ape for Parsonage Cottage.

Some of the other golfing foursomes included: Tequila Sunrise, Flower Power, The Players, Silver Foxes, Duck Duck Goose, Mad Hatters from Waterstone, “The Flash Backs, and Fore Players. The teams competed fiercely for the prizes, which included gift certificates by Beyond Beautiful by Melissa, Sam Bridge Nursery & Greenhouses, Macelleria Steakhouse, Bella Nonna Restaurant & Pizza, Pizza Post, Smart Kids Toys, and Starbucks Coffee.
