What You Need to Know about Independence Day Fireworks in Greenwich

This year Greenwich’s Independence Day fireworks displays are scheduled for Saturday, July 1, 2023 at both Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park at dusk.

If July 1 is rained out, the shows will be rescheduled for Saturday, September 2 at both Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park. If the shows are rained out for September 2, there will be one show at Greenwich Point Park on Sunday, September 3.

Binney Park Fireworks will start at approximately 9:10 pm.

Greenwich Point Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:35pm.

All spectators are strongly urged to bring a working flashlight.

Tod’s Point fireworks full information

Regular entry rules for Greenwich Point apply. Vehicular access to the Point closes at 8:00 pm or earlier, if parking capacity is reached. Verified residents with a valid 2023 Park Pass will be required all day. The fireworks will be shot from the bluff area, past the South Concession Stand. Some of the area near the shooting spot will be restricted. People are welcome to walk the Point on fireworks day, but there will be a detour near the shooting area, which will go up to Founder’s Rock and will be enforced.

Binney Park fireworks full information Park Passes are not required for entrance to Binney Park. The Sound Beach Community Band will play before the show, starting around 8:00 pm. They will be on the stage near the flag pole.
