The annual community walk to honor veterans is set for 10:30am on Sunday, Nov 11. This is a very moving event, one not to be missed and the weather forecast is for a sunny day with a high of 44°.

The walk kicks off promptly at 10:30am and the community is invited to gather at the top of Greenwich Ave at Amogerone Crossway.

This year marks the sixth year of the event, the Greenwich Veterans Day Patriotic Walk.

Participants are invited to bring photographs of relatives and friends who served in the military.

After the walk, at 11:00am, the American Legion Post 29, in cooperation with the Greenwich Veterans Council, will host a ceremony at the World War I monument at the corner of Greenwich Avenue and Arch Street.
