Greenwich Tree Conservancy Recognizes Covid-19 Frontline Workers with “Gratitude Groves”

The Greenwich Tree Conservancy recently announced the planting of Gratitude Groves in honor of frontline workers and local heroes.

These Groves will be a living memorial to all those who protected lives, health, homes and community, and to those who reached out to help their neighbors with food, medicine and the comfort of their caring.

They will be places for reflection where one can enjoy the comfort and well-being that nature provides.

Groves at Greenwich Point, the Montgomery Pinetum, Havemeyer Field and at the Western Greenwich Civic Center will be dedicated as plantings are completed.

Donations to support the Gratitude Groves and the work of the GTC can be made by check sent to: PO Box 4215, Greenwich, CT 06831 or at the Tree Conservancy web site, http://greenwichtreeconservancy.org/gratitude-groves . Suggested donations are $150, $250, $500 and $1,000.

Donations to the Gratitude Groves will be acknowledged at the 2021 Spring Tree Party and on a plaque to be displayed in Town Hall and installed at the Tree Conservancy office.

Should this gift be in Honor or Memory of someone, please know by emailing the Greenwich Tree Conservancy at [email protected]. A personal note will be sent on your behalf.
