October is Domestic Violence Prevention and Awareness Month, and the YWCA’s Walk Against Domestic Violence is this Sunday, October 1 at 8:30am at Bruce Park (picnic area).
The walk through Bruce Park is family friendly – and dog friendly. The YWCA invites walkers to create teams and fundraise to support YWCA Greenwich’s Domestic Abuse Services.
Now in its fifth – year walkers and teams will create personal fundraising pages and solicit donations and sponsorships through the YWCA’s online platform.
This event will be a fun celebration with a food truck, games for children and Pet Pantry table for the dogs!
Also participating will be members of the Greenwich Police Department, GEMS, and the Greenwich Fire Department.
There’s still time to register your own team, support your favorite walker, or make a donation. Click here to donate or join a team today.
