Neighbor to Neighbor Announces New Executive Director

The Neighbor to Neighbor Board of Directors announced the appointment of Margaret Tjimos Goldberg as Executive Director, effective Monday.

This assignment is the result of the Executive Search Committee’s comprehensive efforts to identify a permanent Executive Director.

Kip Burgweger, Neighbor to Neighbor’s President, said, “We are both fortunate and excited to have someone with Margaret’s experience and qualifications join us. She has the enthusiasm, creativity, and focus necessary to achieve the mission and goals of Neighbor to Neighbor and to serve the diverse needs of the community’s underserved population.”

Goldberg has a proven track record as an administrator in the nonprofit sector with seven years as executive director of the Greenburgh Nature Center in Scarsdale, New York, where she was responsible for overseeing the administration, fundraising and development efforts, community outreach, and education programs of the organization, as well as a major renovation project. She is also a longtime board member of Nonprofit Westchester and the Rotary Club, both located in Scarsdale.

“Working as the new Executive Director to help Neighbor to Neighbor continue to thrive represents a wonderful opportunity. I am looking forward to working with their extensive team of volunteers, staff, and forward-thinking Board of Directors,” Goldberg said.
