Lions Club of Greenwich Annual Pancake Breakfast Returns in 2023 with New Location

The Lions Club of Greenwich’s Annual Pancake Breakfast returns at a new location, Greenwich High School.

The event will be on On Saturday, March 11 from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

This will be the 60th Pancake Breakfast for the Lion’s Club and the first Pancake Breakfast since 2019.

This popular event is typically held in Old Greenwich but with the current construction of the Eastern Greenwich Civic Center, a new location was necessary.

“After a three year hiatus, we couldn’t be more excited for the return of our Pancake Breakfast and especially about the new location in Greenwich High School’s Student Center,” said Allen O’Farrell, Chair of the Lions Pancake Breakfast.

“This annual event has been a favorite for the Old Greenwich community and now the event will be more centrally located and easier for the entire community to attend,” O’Farrell added.

As always, the Pancake Breakfast will serve unlimited pancakes, sausages, syrup, orange juice, coffee, tea and milk. “Greenwich Lions Club members prepare the pancakes and sausages for attendees right in front of them,” said Allen. “This event is more than just pancakes though, as we have entertainment, a bake sale, door prizes, free eye screening for 2 to 6 year olds and face painting by Faces By Wells, all for a great cause.”

Funds raised at the Pancake Breakfast will support the many service projects that the Greenwich Lion’s Club lead to help people in the town of Greenwich and surrounding communities.

Tickets are available in advance for $8/each at Perrot Library’s adult circulation desk and/or any Greenwich Lions Club member or $10/each at the door; kids five years old and under are free.

The Lions Club of Greenwich provides community and humanitarian service through activities and projects to help people in the town of Greenwich and in the world.

Their motto is “WE SERVE”, as they are known for fighting blindness, serving youth, providing award grants, helping during disasters, caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.

In September 2016 The Lions Club of Greenwich, chartered in August 1923, and the Old Greenwich Lions Club, chartered in May 1933, merged as the The Lions Club of Greenwich, boasting a proud 100 years of service in our local community.
