Help Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive Set for May 13

Neighbor to Neighbor is happy to announce that Stamp Out Hunger is back on Saturday, May 13.

Residents are encouraged to leave a bag of non-perishable foods by their mailbox in the morning and their letter carrier will deliver it to Neighbor to Neighbor, an organization that is currently serving 500 Greenwich households with weekly food assistance.

Stamp Out Hunger is a major food drive that helps stock the shelves during the slower summer months. Neighbor to Neighbor’s wish list includes canned fruit, peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, and cereal, but will happily accept other non-perishable goods.

An online food drive is also up and running for those who cannot participate in the physical drive. Through the Give Healthy platform, residents can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, and they will then be delivered to Neighbor to Neighbor. The virtual drive is a safe and easy way to help Stamp Out Hunger in our community.

Greenwich residents should keep an eye out for blue Stamp Out Hunger bags, which will be delivered to their mailboxes the week of the 1st. Simply fill the bag with non-perishable goods and your letter carrier will deliver it to Neighbor to Neighbor! Should you not receive a bag, feel free to fill your own bag with non-perishable foods.

According to Neighbor to Neighbor, the drive wouldn’t be possible without the help of generous Greenwich residents, loyal volunteers, and hardworking letter carriers.
