Greenwich Silver Shield Association Announces Inaugural Benefit

The men and women of the Greenwich Police Silver Shield Association will host a gala event on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at Miller Motorcars, 342 West Putnam Ave in Greenwich.

The Inaugural Silver Shield fundraiser will take place on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Miller Motorcars.

The master of ceremonies will be Bill Evans. The event will feature a SWAT and K9 demonstration, a vintage GPD Police Car, Police Harley Davidson, Police Honor Guard, and unique, once in a lifetime Behind-The-Badge auction items.

At the Gala, the organization’s inaugural Board of Advisors will take their oath of office. This group of individuals is slated to be an integral part of the Silver Shield Association by providing valuable guidance, input and advice on new and innovative community policing initiatives.

Their insight will help strengthen the relationship between police officers and friends and neighbors in Greenwich.

In addition to great food and beverage, there will be unique auction items available for bidding. Auction winners will enjoy amazing, once-in-a-lifetime law enforcement experiences.

The Silver Shield Association was founded in 1958 to support its members and provide superior community service to residents and visitors of the Town of Greenwich. Through partnership and collaboration with the community, the men and women of the Silver Shield Association can continue their work, making Greenwich the safest town in America.

All proceeds from the Gala will support the Silver Shield Association Education Fund, a 501(c)3 organization. The Greenwich Police Silver Shield Association expresses its deepest appreciation to the Anselmo Family for their support in making this Gala a success.
