Greenwich Police Drive-Thru Food Drive Set for Jan 23

Greenwich Police are organizing a drive thru food drive at the public safety complex, 11 Bruce Place, on Saturday, Jan 23 from 8:00am to 12:00 noon, rain or shine.

The most needed foods are unexpired, unopened, nonperishable food, especially: cereal, oatmeal, beans, peanut butter & jelly, and canned proteins (tuna, chicken, chili).

The police are working with Neighbor to Neighbor, the Greenwich non profit that operates a food pantry. Clients are referred by the Dept of Human Services.

Since the pandemic, they have experienced an unprecedented demand for food and have adapted their model. Currently they are operating with a delivery model, rather than in-person visits to their food pantry.
